The Coast Guard intercepted a 100-foot yacht carrying 345 illegal migrants from Syria off the Greek island of Lesvos. «They each paid $2,500 for a» cruise from Turkey to Europe.
The boat has a passenger capacity of 65 people. The cost of a new such boat exceeds a million dollars.
The boat did not have a name or flag on it. Authorities have not yet been able to identify its owner.
