The 45-metre semi-displacement sports yacht Amore Mio has been delivered to her owner after intensive trials in the North Sea.

The superyacht is built at Heesen Shipyard entirely in aluminium. During sea trials with a southeast wind and 0.5 to 1 meter waves she reached a maximum speed of 30 knots thanks to two MTU 16V diesel engines.

With a range of 2,750 nautical miles at 12 knots, Amore Mio can easily cross the Mediterranean or sail around the Caribbean from Saint Barthélemy to Grenada, with any number of stops off in different islands, without needing to refuel.

The naval architecture is in-house designed by Heesen Yachts. Omega Architects was responsible for the exterior design and Cristiano Gatto designed the interiors.

Amore Mio will be the first yacht delivered by Heesen Yachts in 2016. Two more boats will be delivered later this year: Heesen's 70-metre flagship of the fleet, the Kometa project, as well as the 50-metre semi-displacement megayacht Akoya. Heesen Yachts currently has ten yachts under construction.
