YPI Crew, a recruitment agency specialising in recruitment in the yachting industry, has launched the Yachting Salaries website, which publishes and compares salaries in the yachting environment.

The site was launched in March 2016. In just a few weeks since launch, users have uploaded over 100 posts about their salaries to it. The site now has 553 salary posts in its database. To find out the salary level of a particular position, you can use the search form.

In addition, anyone can upload their own salary data to the site and compare it to the overall level based on the information previously uploaded by users.

According to Yachting Salaries, the captain of a megayacht of 40 to 50 metres in length earns €10,000 to €12,000 a month, the chief engineer on a yacht of the same size earns €5,500 to €8,500, and a stewardess earns about €3,000.

The whole system relies on the honesty of users, who anonymously specify their salaries. However, registered users and YPI Crew employees have the option of flagging unrealistic information, which will be deleted after verification.
