Palumbo Group announced the acquisition of its fifth shipyard, located on the island of Tenerife. This will strengthen the company's presence outside the Mediterranean. Palumbo also owns shipyards in Naples, Messina, Marseille and Malta.

Like Messina, Palumbo Group's shipyard in Tenerife will specialize in the refit, repair and maintenance of ships and cruise liners of all sizes including superyachts under its own brand Columbus Yachts.

The shipyard in Tenerife has two docks that are 490 and 70 meters long, with a total area of over 10,000 square meters.

«We want to become a key shipyard in the Canary Islands in the medium to long term. The base will be an excellent logistics platform for three continents and will offer a wide range of services»," says Daniela Spinelli, marketing and communications manager for the Palumbo Group.

The Canary Islands are connected with over 500 ports worldwide through more than 30 logistics companies. The Palumbo Tenerife Superyacht yard aims to meet the requirements of the international companies based on the archipelago.
