The car brand's first-ever yacht concept is an open-top sporty yacht with seating for eight passengers.

The unique design of the Powerboat was developed by specialists from Lexus' in-house design division, while the naval architecture was developed by Toyota Marine, Toyota's marine division. The first and only Lexus powerboat was built at the Marquis-Carver Yacht Group shipyard in the USA.

The yacht, unveiled on January 12 in Miami, is a one-off project for the automaker that will not go into production.

The Lexus yacht is made of carbon fiber. The use of this light modern material allowed the designers to reduce the weight by almost 1000 kg compared to a similar yacht made of fiberglass plastic.

In the engine compartment, the Lexus water sports two V8 petrol engines of 5 liters each, based on the high-performance engine 2UR-GSE, powering the Lexus RC F Coupe, GS F Sport Sedan and the new LC 500.

These engines deliver more than 440 hp, aided by a pair of hydraulically operated stationary or outboard aft thrusters, allowing speeds of up to 43 knots.

A bow thruster with joystick facilitates the mooring of the yacht.

The captain controls the onboard systems via a colour touch-screen panel at the helm: screens show GPS navigation, surface radar, underwater sonar, as well as digital charts, lighting options and entertainment messages.

The captain's seat is electrically adjustable and his armrests are lowered to convert into folding seats on the sides for special guests.

The forward passenger stateroom allows for a luxurious layout with leather trim complemented with wood and glass details. She has a full-height ceiling, a sofa that seats six guests, complete with table and air-conditioning, creates a welcoming atmosphere.

The galley is equipped with a two-burner stove, sink and built-in refrigerator; the beautifully decorated front has a shower.

The built-in audio/video entertainment system features 4G Wi-Fi and WAN connectivity. Sound is reproduced using Revolution Acoustics speakers concealed behind the ceiling panel and fitted with a Mark Levinson digital amplifier.
