«Konakovo River Club» won the fourth stage «of the National Sailing League» in the top division

The IV stage of the National Sailing League, the biggest sailing competition of Russia, took place on June, 16-18th in Pskov. 23 crews representing Moscow, Moscow Region, Saint-Petersburg, Vladivostok, Tver Region, Perm Region, Taganrog, Saratov, etc. came to take part in the stage.

During the three racing days 25 races were held according to the round-robin system. On the second day of the regatta, the undisputed leaders of the stage, the teams of CSKA and Konakovo River Club, were determined, and it was between them that an interesting battle unfolded on the third day.

«The outcome of the rivalry, in fact, was decided in race 23, when the representatives of the Tver region survived in» imposed on them «army men» match race, beating CSKA by 3 boats.

Thus, the first place was taken by «Konakovo River Club» Mark Kagansky, the second place went to CSKA Georgy Shaiduko, the third place to PIRogovo Alexander Ezhkov.

«Regatta on Lake Pskov turned out very interesting. - says Vladimir Silkin, President of Russian Yachting Federation. - Yachtsmen were able to test their strength in different wind conditions and the leaders were constantly changing, and the fighting between the crews was so exciting that viewers could not tear themselves away from watching the races of the stage».

«Konakovo River Club» has never won a National Sailing League event before. At the previous, third stage of the regatta, held in Moscow at the Royal Yacht Club, the team from Tver took bronze, so far this was their best result of the season.

It is interesting that the Navigator Sailing Team, the main pretenders to win the League general classification, is not among the triumphators of the IV stage.

«Navigator» won two previous stages of the competitions, in Moscow and Sevastopol, and was second at Stage I in Sochi. In Pskov, the team unexpectedly took seventh place. Fourth and fifth places went to Ekaterinburg teams «Lord of Sails - Europe» and «Lord of Sails - Asia», respectively. Vadim Yakhinson's Leviathan is in sixth place.

The next stage of the highest division of the project will be held in July in Ekaterinburg. As early as tomorrow, on June 22, the competitions of the Prime Division of the League will start in Pskov. All in all there are six stages of the regatta.
