Custom Marine Group, a new holding company organized by the Ross family (headed by Fred Ross) and Wortley family (headed by Joseph Wortley), bought Baja Marine LLC, thereby becoming the owner of Baja Marine, Fountain Powerboats, Donzi Marine and Pro-Line Boats.

The Wortley family had been interested in Baja Marine and Fountain Marine shipyards since those firms declared bankruptcy. Their alliance with the Ross family has provided the resources needed to reinvest, hire staff and restart production.

The group's president is Carol Price, who was recently appointed to the same position at Baja Marine. She previously led Fountain Powerboats. In total, Price has been at the helm of Baja and Fountain for 29 years.

«I am proud to be a part of Custom Marine Group and excited about the great things ahead of us," she said. - The possibilities are endless now. This is exactly what our employees, local community, suppliers, existing and future dealership partners need».

In February, Fountain unveiled the 38-foot center console model at the Miami International Exposition.

According to Price, all four brands that are part of the Custom Marine Group are now building new models. These include the Donzi 35 ZR with center cockpit.

Construction of all new boats from the group's brands will take place at the former Fountain Powerboats production facility in Washington, North Carolina.

Each of the four companies will retain all of their branded features and website.
