The Russian Sailing Federation has announced a competition for the establishment of Russian sailing centres. Experience shows that such initiatives have a tangible effect on the development of sailing.
The Federation has already had a programme for the development of children's sailing, within the framework of which the Russian fleet «Optimists» tangibly which, of course, had an impact on the popularity of the class.
