Dutch shipyard Van der Valk has announced the launch of the 25m expedition motor yacht Dutch Falcon.

Built to CE Category A (ocean-going vessels) requirements, this all-aluminium cruiser features a stylish exterior and interior designed by renowned Dutch designer Guido De Groot.

There are four cabins for eight passengers on board. The master stateroom occupies the entire width of the hull, which is 6.8 meters here. In the main salon, a large C-shaped settee is placed at the rear of the dining area. Behind the control station is the galley and day head. Another control post is located on the upper deck with 60 square meters. A full size bar, row of seating and, aft, storage for the tender are also on the upper deck.

The circular Fast Displacement hull was created in collaboration with Ginton Naval Architects.

The challenge of the naval architects was to create a hull shape that would guarantee lower fuel consumption and more range. For propulsion they used twin Caterpillar C12 ACERT diesels with a capacity of 390 hp. At 9 knots the Dutch Falcon can travel 3,000 miles. The maximum speed is 12.8 knots.

She is ready to be offered for sale and will be available for immediate delivery.

The yard claims that the buyer will have the ability to customize the boat, select accessories and customize the equipment list.

Also under construction at Van Der Valk is the 26m Forum, another joint project with Guido de Groot.
