Popular American magazine Boating ranked the 39.6-foot Sea Ray SLX 400 as «Boat of the Year». Experts recognized that this model demonstrates the best performance and the highest attention to detail in its segment.
The verdict comes from Boating's technical team, a group of experts with years of boat testing experience, who also took into account the opinions of industry professionals and potential buyers. More than 130 boats were tested during 2017 to reach a verdict. The vessels were rigorously evaluated on several criteria at once: style, safety, performance, application of innovation and no violations of American standards.
Once inside the SLX 400, it's hard to believe you're aboard a bowrider. At 12 meters, the manufacturer has managed to accommodate several outdoor seating areas, two comfortable cabins, one of which converts into a dinette and the other has a king-size double bed, and a full-size galley.
Under the transom seat on the port side is a large stowage compartment for two paddleboards.
Other aft features include a wet bar with barbecue, fridge, sink and wine cooler, a folding dining table and a TV retractable to a recessed area.
The hardtop is equipped with optional retractable sunscreens.
Forward of the boat is another outdoor seating area with a generously sized sofa and table.
The boat's information system is based on a state-of-the-art digital dashboard with dual 12" Raymarine glass displays. The Axius thruster with joystick allows easy maneuvering even in rather tight spaces.
