Yacht broker IYC (International Yacht Corporation) has reported success in the first two months of 2018.

The company has completed eight major yacht sales, with four of them within the same week.

The largest yacht sold by IYC at the start of the year was the 58-metre Skyfall. Also on the list of top deals are the 55.4m Turquoise, the 54m Starfire and the 47m Abbracci.

Two and a half years ago, IYC underwent a rebranding, and since then has steadily grown its team by expanding its brokerage network. In July 2017, IYC opened an office in Moscow. Its head was Marat Urusov, who previously headed West Nautical's brokerage department.

IYC is optimistic about the prospects for the superyacht market, predicting a successful year for major brokers.
«As the US stock market has characterised an upturn over the last eight years, with huge growth in 2017, I am not surprised that megayachts of the Skyfall size are in demand in the brokerage market," says Frank Grzeszczak, US sales consultant at IYC. - When the global financial crisis hit, it was a buyers' market, and in many cases if owners weren't willing to sell their yachts at a very low price, they simply held onto them and didn't sell. Now, almost a decade later, investors are feeling more at ease. Today the yacht market is a seller's market and I am sure it will be a great year for brokerage firms».

IYC - International Yacht Corporation is a major brokerage network with 15 offices in 10 countries: USA, Spain, Greece, Croatia, Sweden, Russia. Specializes in sales and charter of luxury yachts, yacht management, crewing and also builds custom superyachts from 40m to 100m at world-renowned shipyards.
