Princess sales in 2017 are a record in the shipyard's long history

UK shipyard Princess sold £274.4m worth of yachts in 2017 - 25% more than the previous year.

Princess' sales volumes were a record in the shipyard's 53-year history.

The shipyard's operating profit in 2017 was £7.9m. Recall that there was no profit in 2016 - there were £7m costs.

The most positive indicator of Princess' financial statements, however, is a full order book, painted as far back as 2019, worth over a billion dollars (about £750 million).

«This has been a landmark year in the shipyard's history," commented Princess executive chairman Anthony Sheriff. - 'We have a clear vision for Princess to be the most innovative, quality and best luxury yacht builder in the world and for our team of 2,700 high-end professionals it is very valuable that the market has appreciated our efforts».

A key project for Princess in 2018 will be the R35 sportsbot, which she has developed with Land Rover BAR, the British America's Cup team «» . The technologies used in the creation of the R35, the shipyard intends to extend to other boats in its lineup. Princess plans to launch a new 45-foot flybridge model in late 2018 and an 85-foot model in early 2019.
