The Feadship superyacht yard held a one-day summit for the broker community in Moscow.

The Dutch superyacht builder has not previously organised such events in Russia, confining itself to the four-day biennial summit for brokers in the Netherlands.

Feadship has turned its attention to the Russian market in response to the growing interest among Russians in purchasing superyachts.

In addition to Russia, Feadship will be holding meetings with brokers in other emerging superyacht markets in Asia and the Middle East.

The Moscow summit, organised in conjunction with Feadship Russia's representative Sergey Rybakov, has attracted 25 leading Russian brokers.

«The daytime business programme and the evening social event were a great success," said Feadship Marketing Director Farouk Nefzi. - We brought the brokers up to speed on the state of the industry as we see it and explained our philosophy of building entirely custom yachts. We did not do a promotional presentation. Our goal was to have a dialogue with the attendees that gave the brokers new knowledge that they can use to grow professionally in the high-end brokerage segment».

Feadship is confident that the markets in Russia, the Middle East and Asia will organically complement the shipyard's traditional markets in the US and Europe.

«the Moscow summit was a great opportunity to establish contact with the most significant players in the Russian market»," summed up Mr Nefzi.
