Oyster Yachts has restarted yacht production at its plant in Wroxham, England, and reinstated the 50 employees who were laid off when the company suddenly went bankrupt in February of this year.

«I am delighted to announce that Oyster yacht production has recommenced at Wroxham. I am incredibly proud that we have been able to employ our existing staff and their experience and craftsmanship will enable us to maintain the renowned Oyster yacht quality mark," commented Oyster Chief Executive Officer, Richard Hadida».
Work has already commenced on the first of two hulls for the 20.4 metre Oyster 675 at the Oyster facility.

In addition the yard has orders totalling around €100 million and is expecting to sign further contracts in the coming weeks.

When Evolution Gaming founder and creative director of online casino developer Richard Hadida acquired Oyster two months ago, the shipyard was under interim administration.

The new owner formed a management team, which included the founder of the Formula One team Eddie Jordan.

In the near future Hadida intends to return most of the 400 workers laid off to their jobs. He also plans to launch production of smaller models, but of the same high quality for which the brand is famous.

In other good news from the company is the return of the Oyster World Rally 2017/2019, organised specifically for Oyster yacht owners. The 17 Oyster sailboats will soon sail to Vanuatu, located in the Pacific Islands, to head towards the Whitsunday Archipelago in Australia.
