To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Slovenian shipyard Greenline has launched a new 36-foot sport cruiser that can be equipped with outboard petrol engines or all-electric propulsion. The project, dubbed Greenline NEO, is designed in three versions: Open, Hard Top and Coupe.
Greenline NEO in the eDrive variant will be equipped with two Torqeedo Deep Blue electric outboard motors rated at 80 hp and two lithium batteries with a total capacity of 61 kWh.
And when cruising in economy mode at 6 knots, the range will be 40 nautical miles.
Greenline was originally a trendsetter «green» among powerboat manufacturers, starting with the launch of the first hybrid Greenline 33 model.
«Back in 2008, hybrid propulsion may have been a little ahead of its time," admits Vladimir Zinchenko, who recently bought the yard, "but now, 10 years later, the market is ready for the next step - an all-electric drive!»
Fans of speed can opt for the two outboard 300 hp petrol engines, which boost the boat to an impressive 42 knots.
This is made possible by the fact that its unique design wraps around the engines. The platform has a hydraulic lifting mechanism and adjustable steps, making descending and exiting the water as comfortable and safe as possible.
The cruiser in Open and Hard Top versions has a U-shaped dining area aft and a seating area with a small table in the bow. Below deck there is a dinette that folds out into a sleeping area for two as well as a galley.
The Coupe version will comprise an enclosed saloon with a 360 degree view, an aft lounge area and a spacious sun pads in the bow. The cockpit features a well equipped galley with a full size fridge. The cabin can be equipped with one double or two twin beds.
Greenline NEO will make its world premiere at the Southampton show in September this year.
