Last Saturday, Italian shipyard Benetti celebrated the launching of Blake, a 50m fully custom-built megayacht. The impressive slipway dive took place at the production facility in Viareggio in the presence of 300 guests.
The exterior styling has been developed by the shipyard's designers while the interior design has been developed by the London-based studio Bannenberg & Rowell.
The owner is provided with a huge 60 sqm Master suite with a private balcony. Moreover she has four cabins and thanks to the saloon and living room conversion on the upper deck there is room for four more guests on board. The crew area includes nine berths.
Another key feature is the spacious beach club with a water-level sundeck formed by a fold-up garage door for a 6.3-metre tender. And in the bow there is space for storage of the jet skis and the rescue boat.
The yacht is equipped with twin Caterpillar C32 ACERT 1600 hp engines giving her a top speed of 15.5 knots and a range of 4000 nautical miles at 11 knots. Meanwhile, Naiad's Dynamic Stability System ensures that Blake's passengers enjoy pleasant cruising with virtually zero noise and vibration.
This year Benetti also plans to complete the 63m Balance and 69m Spectre.
