Nick's team «» Vladimir Prosikhin has reached the podium of RC44 Marstrand Cup regatta with a bronze medal. The St. Petersburg team was separated from the first place by only 2 points.

Team Nika had a very successful start of this season: the team won the silver medal in the first round with a minimum gap. However, the results of the next regatta were less positive: the crew finished seventh in the standings. Therefore, to keep a possibility to get the medals at the end of the season, it was extremely important for the team to achieve high results in the third meet. And she succeeded.

The third place in Marstrand Swedish races moved the crew to the fourth place in overall standings of the season.

Three teams represented Russia at this stage.

Vladimir Prosikhin's crew who had participated in two previous races of the season were joined by their yachting club comrades - the crew «Bronenosets», captained by Vladimir Lubomirov, and the crew from Ekaterinburg «Tavatuy», captained by Pavel Kuznetsov and titled Evgeny Neugodnikov.

For St. Petersburg's «Armadillo» third stage was not very successful. Team of Vladimir Lubomirov was leading in the first days of the competition, but towards the end of the competition lost its positions and moved to the fifth place.

«By the third race the wind began to change direction, the distance changed, the wind died down and changed direction often, - says helmsman of "Bronenosets" Vladimir Lubomirov, - we just weren't lucky enough. But if you analyze the whole team's performance after such a long break, it's safe to say that the crew did great, and we have the potential to fight further, because there are still two stages of the series ahead».

The crew from the Ekaterinburg club «Tavatui», who were competing in the class for the first time, showed a promising result, earning fourth place in two consecutive races. Although the crew ended up at the bottom of the overall standings, the competitors were able to demonstrate their skills in action.

The next round of the RC44 World Championship Tour will take place in late September in Cascais , the sailing capital of Portugal. The final race of the season is scheduled for Malta in November.
