Dutch shipyard Oceanco has handed over the 90-metre yacht previously known under the working name Project Shark. The boat was named DAR and is one of the top 200 superyachts in the world.

Project Shark's aggressive exterior was designed by Luiz de Basto while the interiors were designed by Italian studio Nuvolari Lenard.

«We called it a shark because from the front it resembles a hammerhead shark. Inspired by this we gave her a mast in the shape of a fin»," De Basto told Boat International.

The vessel has a steel hull and aluminum superstructure that were created to the exacting standards of the Lloyd's Registry.

One of the main design features of Project Shark is the mirrored glazing that almost completely covers the superstructure and creates floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows in the saloon on the main deck.

The Project Shark can accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 cabins.

The owner has the entire upper deck with a private sundeck overlooking the forward section of the yacht and a Jacuzzi.

As requested by the Owner, the side aisles of this deck were not included, providing the Owner with total privacy.

The yacht has two lifts, one for transferring guests and one for the crew of 31. In addition, there is a swimming pool, diving center, hammam, sauna and a submarine garage in the center of the spacious beach club. Above the owner's deck is a helipad.

The boat is powered by two MTU 20V4000 M73L engines with 4,828 hp, which give her a top speed of 20 knots.

This year Oceanco is planning to launch another creation in collaboration with Nuvolari Lenard, the 109m Y718 Project Bravo.
