Young Bermuda girl Amber Farrow set out to prove to everyone that girls can not only pick daisies in the meadows, but also conquer the oceans, and do it no worse than grown men. She' s signed up for two legs of the world tour. Clipper Round the World and will be one of the youngest participants (she's 18).

Amber will spend 4 months with 19 strangers, eat monotonous food, sleep for four hours and forget about showers. As part of the crew. Invest Africa she will be at sea from late November to March. Like the other contestants, she submitted a short essay to the jury, was interviewed and spent three and a half weeks at sea preparing for the regatta.

What angers her the most are the naysayers who say she «too young and too girl» for such adventures.

But it's also great motivation to prove to herself that she is mentally and physically ready for such a trek. Now the girl is actively training, going to the gym every day and following a special diet.

Miss Farrow is not new to yachting - she has been sailing since the age of 10 and has participated in the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club summer programs.

When the yacht crosses the equator, she plans to shave her head, though she's not sure her mother will approve.
