For its 50th anniversary boat show in Dusseldorf , Germany, Sanlorenzo has unveiled the SX88, a 27-metre crossover yacht which combines the best features of a flybridge boat and an Explorer compact size.

The exterior of the fiberglass SX88 with its carbon-fiber superstructure is quite unlike any Sanlorenzo boat before it. The exterior was designed by Officina Italiana Design. The design can be characterized as innovative, thanks, for example, to a completely open transom that allows to store on board a tender up to 5 meters long and a jet ski, or a windscreen with an aesthetic inverted angle.

Instead of the usual flybridge, the SX88 has a real sky lounge with an overhead and a single control station (can be closed and equipped with air conditioning).

This solution freed up space on the main deck, thereby becoming a spacious saloon-loft with an entirely open kitchen and living area in the bow. Interestingly, there are four possible layouts for the main deck, two in open-plan style with an open-plan galley and two with partition walls, one of which is the master suite on the main deck.

The interior of the boat is fully customizable. The interior has been designed by Piero Lissoni with attention paid to details like the mini switches, which are made of brushed brass. Customer is free to choose the color and finish materials to his taste.

The Sanlorenzo SX88 is not just a stylish and innovative silhouette. The use of modern technology has helped to achieve maximum noise reduction in the saloon and on the lower deck, regardless of the speed selected.

The boat is powered by three Volvo Penta IPS 1050 diesel engines, each providing 800 horsepower.
