An ambitious newcomer to the yachting world, positioning itself as a technological innovator, made a bold debut at Boot Düsseldorf - 2019 with a range of three expedition boats - from 23 to 30 metres.

These are the Arksen 70, Arksen 85 and Arksen 100. The smallest model of the range (23 meters) - Arksen 70 - is ready to take on board up to eight guests inclusive. The Arksen 85 (26.2 meters) is roomier, seating up to 14 guests. At the top of the range is the Arksen 100 (30 meters), with the same seating capacity of 14 guests.

Jasper Smith, head of the brand, said he has already sold the first Arksen 85, which is due to go into production in the spring.

The full trio has a flexible layout with plenty of room to store everything they might need during a three-month voyage. At the same time, the yachts are designed to accommodate the minimum number of crew required.

The declared lifespan of the new yachts is 50 years. After «» they will not harm the environment as they will be fully recycled. This is possible due to the use of only recyclable materials and components in construction.

The Explorers will be equipped with a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system and solar panels. Their average cruising speed is estimated at 11-14 knots. All boats have a fully glazed flybridge, which guarantees spectacular views of the surroundings, whether they are a blue bay in the Caribbeanor a remote corner of the Arctic.

The Arksen 85, the first of three models to be built, has an impressive range of 6,000 nautical miles on a single tank (approximately 16,000 litres). Due to the exceptional hull efficiency, when cruising at seven knots at calm sea conditions, the power consumption of the Arksen 85 is only 12 kW.

All Arksen boats come with Ark Control: an artificial intelligence system that constantly scans critical systems for possible problems, allowing them to be spotted and repaired, and ideally to prevent them from occurring.

The Arksen yacht brand itself is just the tip of the iceberg. Arksen is also a foundation and a research club. The Arksen Foundation is a non-profit organization established to finance various research and conservation initiatives. Notably, all owners of Arksen expeditionary vessels become Foundation sponsors by default and commit to donate 10% of their vessel's annual time at sea to service the projects supported by the NGO.

For its part «Explorers' Club»the Explorers' Club is dedicated to helping owners of Arksen semi-autonomous hybrids live their wanderlust dreams. The club offers four signature itineraries, including trips to Svalbard, Easter Island and the Falkland Islands, for example.

«Our future and the future of generations to come depend on our ability to understand the importance of ocean conservation. Owning an Arksen yacht is not a status symbol. It is a statement of intent»," Jasper Smith says proudly.

Arksen is working closely with Humphreys Yacht Design, Wight Shipyard Company, Design Unlimited and Waterline Media.
