Wearable electronics, of which Google Glass is the most famous, will also be useful for yachtsmen. This fall, Afterguard smart glasses designed specifically for sailing will go on sale.
Afterguard uses technology created by Recon Technologies and is a display attached to sunglasses.
The small screen will display real-time information from the boat's dashboard that you need to navigate and control (boat speed, wind speed, coordinates, direction, etc.).
All data will be transmitted wirelessly.
The cost of smart glasses will be $2500, but pre-orders for the product will receive it with a discount - for $1900.
