Dutch boatbuilder Heesen announces the delivery of custom 56m superyacht Galvas (ex. Project Neptune).
The boat, which started construction in January 2017, features an exterior design by British studio H2 Yacht Design.
The bold solution was the large windows in the Fast Displacement Steel Hull (FDHF).
This move visually blurs the boundaries between it and the aluminium superstructure. Van Oossanen Naval Architects was responsible for the naval architecture.
With a gross tonnage of 770 gross tons, Galvas will accommodate up to 12 guests in six staterooms, including an 85m2 master suite on the main deck with its own gym, steam room and office. The crew quarters are designed for a crew of 13.
The interior has been designed by Reymond Langton Design Galvas. The result is lavish and sophisticated, with subtle details. There were used white onyx, bronze and pastel shades sycamore combined with light brown leather. And where to go without an attribute of interior decoration of all Heesen's very own - Venetian stucco from British masters DKT Atworks.
The tenders are hidden in the bow of the upper deck.
Hidden - in the literal sense of the word, as they are covered on top with covers, which makes them invisible when looking at the superyacht from the side.
Power comes from a pair of MTU 8V 4000 M63 engines, enough to reach and, as tests have shown, exceed the maximum 15.5 knots. At 13 knots the vessel will travel 3,100 nautical miles without refuelling.
The shipyard is particularly proud that Galvas is the second yacht in the Heesen fleet to comply with the latest and most stringent emission regulations.
This is made possible by the latest SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system.
The boat has already undergone rigorous testing in the cold North Sea and is now on her way to the hot Mediterranean for her maiden voyage from there.
