Zeelander Yachts of the Netherlands is proud to announce that the 22m Zeelander Z72, the largest yacht offered by the yard to date, has been delivered to the American owner, a loyal customer of the yard. He has named the boat Dylan Lucy.
«We believe that yacht building is inherently an art form: although faithful to tradition, Zeelander's design has evolved. The colour of the first Z72 is elegant and sophisticated Flag Blue. However, we can offer an endless variety of colorings. Most customers prefer exotic, metallic effect. We evenhave colors with a hintof diamond»," says Floris Koopmans, who is responsible for marketing at Zeelander Yachts.
Whatever the exterior coating, it will still look great as «pocket-sized» owes a lot to Cor D. Rover Studio, who contributed to the creation of the Zeelander bestseller - Z44.
The most striking features are the aesthetically pleasing rounded stern with a 110 CFT swim platform and curved side line.
The first Z72 does not have a Jacuzzi. However, the list of options includes a Jacuzzi. If desired, it can be installed on the aft deck instead of the full-fledged solarium. If not needed, the hot tub can be closed from above and you get a sunbathing area.
The interiors are good in every sense. Zeelander's own in-house designers were responsible for them. The owner's policy regarding the interior design is that no one can do better than the owners themselves. This golden rule was also followed in this particular case.
The living areas don't suffer from lack of natural sunlight, as each side has three pairs of big windows. The master suite with a double bed and sunroof is in the bow and is finished with the best materials, among which the light-coloured leather, alcantara and the dark lacquered wood prevail.
Two twin guest staterooms, very similar in their decoration, are situated amidships. Each one is fitted with a separate WC and shower room.
The crew area is located closer to the stern and is literally next door to the garage for the tenders and water toys.
The Z72's debut hull carries an 11-foot Williams 325 tender, a jet ski and four «sibobs».

Power is provided by three Volvo Penta IPS engines in different output configurations, each capable of pushing the boat to a maximum of 40 knots. At 24 knots the Z72 has a range of 680 nautical miles.
The Zeelander Z72 has a base price of €3,345,000 (excluding VAT). She will make her world debut in the United States in September at the Newport International Boat Show.
