Although the new open cruiser with «sweet name» Dolceriva was presented at Cannes Yachting Festival - 2019, many details remained a mystery until the last. And now everything has been revealed.
With Dolceriva the shipyard is writing a new story rather than retelling old pages.
She is set to redefine the dayboat market with a fresh new exterior styling that will be a leitmotif for all future Riva's. The Dolceriva owes its elegant appearance to Officina Italiana Design and personally to Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, who have been working on the face of boats from Lake Iseo for over 25 years.
The role of naval architects and designers was played by the FerrettiGroup's engineering division.
The main sources of inspiration were the masterpieces of modern car design.
The rounded stern not only recalls the Riva Ariston and Tritone, italso reminds us of the rear end of a luxury sports car.
The Dolceriva's silhouette is dynamic, largely because the classic round portholes are hidden behind an original tinted glass window that, when extended towards the open aft main deck, gives way to dramatic carbon fibre air intakes with steel framing.
Equally challenging is the curved windscreen, which features spherical crystals, and the control station, which looks like a real space-based control room.
The pilot is served by advanced navigation-monitoring system Garmin Empirbus, optionally complemented by touch screens: one 12-inch and another 16-inch. A joystick steering system is also available on request.
The cockpit is located behind the two sunpads. The cockpit can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests on the two large sofas. There is a folding table with a wooden table top. There is an access hatch to the under-deck area, which in standard configuration serves as a large four m² pantry and can be converted into a crew area or additional guest stateroom if the owner so desires.
The master suite is forward with a large double bed in the middle, walk-in closets and a door with a skylight that ensures privacy and separates the owner's area from the lounge.
The choice of materials used in the interiors is in keeping with Riva's status: polished mahogany, leather, glass and mirrored surfaces.
The owner may choose between two options for the Volvo Penta engine: D13-800 or D13-1000.
Equipped with the latter, the boat is ready to reach a top speed of 40 knots and a cruising speed of 35 knots. «The basic and less powerful variants are sufficient to achieve a maximum speed of» at 35 knots, and a cruising speed of 27 knots.
Dolceriva can be ordered in any of the colours available for the rest of the Riva range. The first hull is painted in Regal Silver.
