Acceptance of applications for the sixth annual award «St. Petersburg Yacht Man of the Year» is open until December 15. A candidate for the award in one of 11 nominations may be nominated through the electronic form created by the Saint-Petersburg Sailing Union and the Saint-Petersburg Yacht Club.
Winners will be selected in the categories «Discovery of the Year», «Yachtsman of the Year (under 23)», «Yachtswoman of the Year (under 23)», «Team of the Year (under», «Coach of the Year», «Best Long-Distance Sport Cruise», «For contribution to the development of sailing in St. Petersburg», «Team of the Year (over 24 years)», «Yachtsman of the Year» and«Yachtswoman of the Year».
After completion of entries the decision will be made by the expert jury consisting of representatives of the St.Petersburg Sailing Union, St.Petersburg Government, associations of classes, yacht club captains and titled yachtsmen.
The nomination «Photo of the Year» in which each author can nominate up to 10 photos will be accepted till December, 1. This is due to the fact that the winner selection procedure is divided into two stages. First there will be open people's voting on the official site of the award from December 2 to 15. The jury will choose the 10 most popular shots afterwards.
The solemn award ceremony for all the winners will be held in the evening of December 21 at the Yacht Club in St. Petersburg.
