«The asymmetric» Sanlorenzo SL96 and the second model of the SX range are on their way to Düsseldorf

The main boot Düsseldorf Yacht Show is just over a month away. Now Italian Sanlorenzo has joined the list of shipyards which have already announced what the audience will see on its stand. «» This time Sanlorenzo will be presenting SL96 Asymmetric and«crossover-yacht» SX76. Each model is the second in its line.

SL96 Asymmetric.

At the beginning of summer, when the model was introduced for the first time, we already wrote in detail about this 29.06-metre yacht. She will have her world premiere in Dusseldorf.

She is the successor to the concept pioneered by Chris Bangle and BernardoZuccon of the SL102 Asymmetric.» The asymmetry on the SL96 not only freed up an additional 10 square meters of living space, but also gave «new scenarios for life on the yacht.

The starboard side of the vessel is«horizontal». A passage along the side connects the cockpit with the living area in the bow. The saloon divider can be opened up so that a real terrace is created (a feature that Sanlorenzo has been using since 2008, starting with the 40Alloy). The left side of the SL96 is vertical. Here the main focus is the path from the water level to the flybridge. In turn, the steps from the flybridge descend to the sandock on the bow.

The interiors of the SL96 are the work of Laura Sessa .

She has 4 cabins for 8 guests: 2 guest cabins and a VIP on the lower deck and a split-level master suite with bedroom and bathroom on the main deck and an open dressing area with skylight above them.


The exterior of this 23.35m yacht has also been designed by the ZucconInternational Project studio. Piero Lissoni has worked on the interiors The model, whose concept consists of a mix of a classic motor yacht with a flybridge and a large Explorer, was first unveiled at Cannes in 2018.

There are many large open spaces on board. Large windows create a feeling of spaciousness even in the enclosed cabins. At the same time, the flybridge in front of the helmsman has a windscreen and it can also be closed from the sides in case of need.

Duplicate the helm station on the main deck so there is space on the foredeck for the dining and galley area to be cleared.

The SX76 has four berths: a master suite at midships, a VIP forward and two further guest staterooms to starboard. Each cabin is designed for two people.

«From my point of view, the SX76 is a great interpretation of the relationship between man and sea. The relationship is maximized when people travel by boat, and boats designed to live in close contact with the sea are the right boats. The SX line allows you to experience that maximum. Our job was to maximize the use of space and ensure, while reducing size, the right balance without losing functionality. With the SX76, the challenge was to have the same features as the larger SX88 without losing the balance of style»," says Bernardo Zuccon.

One of the important decisions in designing the interiors was not to adapt the furniture to the space as much as possible. On the contrary, they are arranged as freely as possible in the cabins, as is usual in houses. The only changes were in the materials and technical characteristics which had to be adapted to the sea conditions.
