The first ever Russian Open Championship in the Melges20 class was held off the coast of Porto Ecole, Italy. Both Russian crews and teams from other countries took part in the competition.
Yachtsmen from «Synergy» (helmsman - Valentin Zavadnikov) were the best among 11 participants in the Russian classification. The athletes won the last two races.
On second and third place among Russians are Pirogovo and Phantome.
In the overall standings at «Synergy» - third place. The team is following American Slingshot and Italian Peccere.
