A blue whale, which had a body length of about 80 feet (24 meters), sank a small motorboat off the Californiacoast.

On board the 21-foot vessel were Captain Cece Sayers with a video camera and nature photographer Dale Frink. The passengers managed to capture the attacking whale on video, and the flip of the ship on video.

What caused the attack of the mammal is not clear. Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of the flip of the watercraft, and the passing boat reported the incident to the Coast Guard. Rescuers immediately responded to the call for help and picked up the people in the water.
