From 16th to 26th of July Brest, France, hosted World Championships in Techno 293 class. Mariam Sehposyan from Saint-Petersburg had the best result among Russians: she got bronze medal. Maxim Tokarev from Sevastopol stayed one step away from the podium - 4th position.
Prozorov Nikita, Firsova Polina, Kirichuk Ilya, Gundarev Alexander, Fedechkina Tatiana, Malyshenko Katya, Sandakov Dima, Karavan Sergey and Zhilin Egor also represented Russia at the Championship.
Totally 400 young yachtsmen from 28 countries participated in the competition.
The past races were a good workout for our team before the Youth Olympic Games in 2014, which will start in China in August. Already on August 9 Mariam and Maxim will leave for the city of Nanjing.
