About a hundred yachts became victims of the storm off the coast of Northern Ireland. Strong winds, whose gust speeds exceeded 90 km/h, overturned and sank several boats.
As a result about 20 people were overboard, many of them were injured and overcooled. Two children were among the injured. All injured were sent to a local hospital.
Earlier it was reported that more than a hundred people required assistance, but coast guard officials clarified that most of the boats escaped damage and people got only minor fright.
