These very days the Monaco Yacht Show, one of the most important events of the year for sellers and owners of large boats, is hosting guests. It started on September 25th and will end on September 28th. More than 100 megayachts are on display in the Port of Hercules in the Principality of Monaco, covering 13,000 square metres with 500 exhibitors from 38 countries.

Last year the average length of the exhibited boat was 46.7 meters, about 40 new projects were announced, about 33 thousand people visited the exhibition. Figures for 2013 are yet to be tallied, but participants are already sharing their impressions. « I have been told here that more than 1.4 billion euros worth of yachts have been put up for sale. So I guess if you can't find a yacht at the Monaco Yacht Show then you probably won't find one anywhere else» - says Charlie Birkett, CEO of Y.CO.

Next year the show is set to grow significantly, thanks to a partnership between the three major players in the Port of Hercules: Monaco Harbors Management Company (S.E.P.M.), Yacht Club Monaco and the Monaco Yacht Show. Next year's show will feature a fleet of 118 superyachts from 25m to 120m.
