Last weekend in Hawaii, the world championships in the small but very fast Moth class came to an end. American Bora Gulari beat two Australian competitors to take «gold». Bora is the first American to win twice at the «Moth World Championships» held since 1959. The last time he won was in Oregon in 2009.

In 2013, there were 80 competitors in the event.

The Moth is a class of small boats that originated in the 1930s. Made of carbon fiber, the lightweight boats are capable of speeds in excess of 30 knots.
