The Swedish company Delta Powerboats has grown to a 26m motorboat, the Delta 88 IPS, with a vacuum-infusion carbon-fibre hull. The boat was designed by Lars Modin. To build a boat of this size, the shipyard had to rebuild production and hire new people

Like the rest of the Delta Powerboats fleet, the yacht features a distinctive Scandinavian design.

The first sea trials took place between Estonia and Sweden. The yacht showed maximum speed of 37 knots with fuel consumption 40% lower than that of competitors, the company claims.

«We have added a dream to our product portfolio»," says a pleased Donald Wessel, Sales Manager. The project took over two years to complete. The company wanted to build «the most beautiful, the most economical and the smartest boat on the market». The second hull is already under construction and, according to Donald, this is proof that they are on the right track.
