During the State Duma meeting on preparations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the issue of accommodating guests of the sporting event was touched upon. Among other proposals, the idea of accommodating spectators on yachts was voiced.
As far as it is too expensive to build hotels and unclear whether the built ones will be used in future, it was offered to deliver ships to the World Cup venues and then take them back. In particular, the Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Russia, Yuri Reilyan spoke about this.
Recall that the 2018 FIFA World Cup will be held from 8 June to 8 July 2018, in 11 cities across Russia.
