Sunseeker shipyard has cut 240 jobs, the BBC reports. The publication reports that according to the company, most of the employees were dismissed at their own will and left their jobs due to «natural» reasons.

«At the same time, the media notes that earlier, in October, representatives of the shipyard announced that they were considering laying off around 300 workers as part of a new strategy» aimed at «increasing efficiency». This implies that the voluntary layoffs may continue in the future.

Representatives of Sunseeker assure customers that production will not suffer as a result of staff cuts and the company will remain among the market leaders.

It should be noted that the company has a total of 2,100 employees.
