Wim van der Valk Continental II 23.00 Flybridge (2014)

Description

A custom yacht with a custom hull design and naval architecture by Wim Van der Valk Continental Yachts. This flybridge model of the Continental II series was custom built in 2014 in the Netherlands by the Van der Valk shipyard. Constructed in aluminium alloy, this fast yacht has a spacious flybridge with a hardtop and increased waterline width, making it more voluminous. Excellent noise isolation provides increased comfort even at a cruising speed of 21.5 knots.

This Continental II 23.00 Flybridge has a semi displacement hull and aluminium superstructure. She is designed in accordance with EU norms and has class A for high seas. She is powered by 3 Volvo Penta Diesel engines (D13-800) with 800hp each and has a maximum speed of 26.7 knots. The yacht is in perfect condition, regular maintenance was performed. She is the only owner. Engine hours: 700 hours.

Interior is inspired by the Victorian era and upgraded with elements of French classicism, frescoes and antique gold fittings. The interior and living areas are dominated by calm light shades and soft textures that fill the space with light and lightness.

Flybridge / Foredeck

Continental II 23.00 Flybridge is a popular Van der Valk series. The Flybridge is equipped with a hardtop for sun protection. At the front is a control station with ergonomic seats. There is ample seating on the sofa group and a bar with refreshments is located below the hardtop. The cockpit provides a large enough open area to accommodate sun loungers or to store the tender which is normally located on the swim platform.

On the foredeck there are padded non-absorbent sunbathing cushions, a table and seating.

Salon

Main deck saloon with panoramic glazing that serves as an additional source of light. Wheelhouse is separated from the salon by a bulkhead. Cherry wood trim and seating on velvet sofa and Chesterfield chairs. Next to the sofa is a round table with chairs for 4 people and opposite the sofa is a bar counter with chairs. The saloon opens onto an open air aft dining area with a 6 seater table, sofa and armchairs. On the lower deck there is an additional saloon with sofa that can be used as 4th cabin.

Living areas

Accommodation for 6 guests is provided in 3 cabins: a full beam Master Stateroom, a VIP cabin and a double cabin. The aft master suite with a separate dressing area is as far as possible from the engines for better noise and vibration isolation. A VIP and double cabin with queen size beds. Each cabin has its own private bathroom.

On the starboard side guest deck there is a lounge area that can be used as a full-value guest stateroom with a pull-out sofa, and a separate day head. This increases the number of cabins to 4 and the number of guests to 7.

Crew

For the crew of 2 persons 1 double cabin will be provided.

Installed options

The length of the wheelhouse is increased by 1.6 meters (+1 meter at the front and +60 cm at the rear). Current wheelhouse length is over 9 meters.

Delta DB sound and vibration dampening membrane (in engine room and everywhere else 30cm above waterline).
