A house that looks like a superyacht

UNStudio Architectural Studio has completed the Keppel Cove Marina on the banks of the Xi River in Zhongshan, China. The marina is China's only private port with a customs and migration station. The heart of the marina is a clubhouse shaped like a superyacht hull. The architects borrowed the idea of panoramic glazing and the finishing materials from yacht construction. For façade cladding, aluminium panels painted in bronze are used. The mirrored finish of the lower parts of the balconies is designed to create the illusion of light playing on the water surface, and wooden panels are generously used inside.
