Loki is the winner of last year's Sydney Hobart regatta, a traditional race starting on Boxing Day, December 26. She starts from Sydney Harbour and finishes a few days later in Hobart, Tasmania, covering 628 nautical miles.

Loki's owner and skipper, Stephen Anisworth has participated in 14 seasons of the regatta. It took him a long time to win the Sydney Hobart. In 2011, prior to the start of the race, he was named Yachtsman of the Year by the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia for winning the 2010-2011 Bluewater Pointscore Champion and second place in the 2011 Audi IRC Australian Championship.

Since the very first regatta in 1945, Sydney Hobart has become one of the toughest sailing races held on the high seas, and today it attracts both small pleasure and elegant superyachts from around the world.
