The SolarPlanet, a multihull vessel powered exclusively by solar panels, has broken its own transatlantic crossing speed record. For the first time, SolarPlanet crossed the Atlantic Ocean in 26 days, thus entering the Guinness Book of World Records. A new record was set the other day when the catamaran managed to cross the same route in 22 days 12 hours and 23 minutes at an average speed of 5.3 knots.
