This delightful shot is a tidbit from the Adventure Race 80 dg Arctic regatta , which began its journey on the night of June 16-17 from St. Petersburg. The regatta keeps its way to Murmansk and passes through Arkhangelsk and Franz Josef Land. Crews of the yachts set to bring a piece of Arctic iceberg to the continent but it is clear that that is not the main mission of the trip. The main goal is to draw attention to environmental problems of the Arctic.
The yachts have already crossed Lake Ladoga and across the Svir River to Onega, from where they send amazing pictures of the Russian North.
