The 32nd annual Key West World Powerboat Championship concluded yesterday in Key West, Florida, USA. The powerboat races are among the fastest in the world with speeds of up to 200 miles per hour (approximately 174 knots). The course is a conventional rectangle with a perimeter of 6 miles.

P.S. The horizon is screwed up intentionally. Objections are not accepted.

Synopsis. The race was founded by John Carbonell in 1989. His company, Super Boat International Productions, is involved in the world promotion and organisation of powerboat races. Over the years, thanks to SBIP, famous actors like Don Johnson, Chuck Norris, Jason Priestley and Kurt Russell have joined the ranks of racers.
