The Melges 20 World Championship has come to an end on Lake Garda. Out of 57 teams participating in the competition, 11 represented Russia. The highest place among Russians was taken by Ost Legal crew headed by Oleg Lipavsky: they took the 20th place in the overall standings. The American team Samba Pa Ti, with Olympic champion in Laser class Paul Goodison as tactician, won the competition.
