Rowing like a king

During a visit to Germany, the Duke of Cambridge Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton took part in a rowing boat race on the river Necker. The august couple did not row themselves, but took honorary captainships. The winner this time was William, despite having Olympic champion Filip Adamski as part of Kate's team. "At least we won her heart," Adamski commented on his team's loss. This is not the first time the royal couple have competed in a boating event. In 2014, for example, they raced in the America's Cup boats in Auckland. Kate Middleton has also supported Land Rover BAR Ben Ainslie's campaign to participate in the 35th America's Cup. The Duchess has become patron of Ainslie's charity project, which aims to promote sailing to young people.
