Fresh mistral inflated the sails of 50 maxi sailing boats - participants in the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup regatta - and photographer Carlo Borlengi captured them chasing their own shadow on the picturesque Costa Smeralda. The regatta has attracted many notable sailors such as VOR veterans Bowie Backing (skipper of Baltic 112' Nilaya) and Ian Walker (tactician of Wallycento Magic Carpet Cubed). The Maxi72 class, for which the competition has world championship status, is dominated by Momo, while the numerous Wally class is dominated by newcomer Galateia.
