A little bit about dimensions

Team AkzoNobel's photographer caught the team's new Volvo Ocean 65 at just the right moment and at just the right angle, so we can feel the difference between a tiny 65-foot racing sailboat and a huge commercial ship. The Volvo Ocean Race has been shaky lately, with circumnavigation director Mark Turner quitting and his grand plans for the future having to be cancelled, but thankfully that doesn't apply to the 2017-2018 Volvo Ocean Race, which kicks off from Alicante on October 22. Team AkzoNobel's purple boat is the only new VO65 in the VOR fleet in this edition. All other competitors have undergone a global refit and, according to the organisers, are in no way inferior to their yet-to-be-fought rival.
