Tasmanian coast, Macquarie Bay, January 27, 2012 - world record for towing water skiers behind a single boat.

The 35-meter-long aluminum catamaran Eagle pulls 145 people at the same time (there were 154 participants at the start, but nine of them were not fighters). All 145 sportsmen covered one nautical mile (1.85 km) after the boat, setting a new record and beating their own previous record - in 2010, there were 114 skiers skiing at the same time.

To pull this many people at the same time and not to mix up the halyards, two rods with a total length of 96 meters were attached to the boat. It took the boat (two MTU motors of 1555 hp each) 30 seconds to pull 154 people out of the water.
