On the night of February 1, a fire broke out at a shipyard near Gargur, Malta. Nineteen yachts were completely destroyed by fire. The owners "cried as they watched months of hard work disappear into the smoke," local media reported. The fire was put out for seven hours by 14 firefighters in eight vehicles. It took at least 180 thousand liters of water and 7 thousand liters of foam to stop the fiery inferno. Fortunately, there were no human casualties.
