For several years Roman Abramovich's Eclipse topped the list of the largest and most expensive private yachts in the world, until the 180-meter Azzam, built for the UAE president, toppled her from the top. Despite this, «Eclipse», as the boat's name is translated, is not finally eclipsed.
Exterior and Interior Design
The nine-deck vessel impresses not only by its size, but also by its original design. The white hull and superstructure color gives it a special effect.
Not so much is known about the interior of the Eclipse, as we'd like to know. However, the information leaked in the Internet about the crocodile skin upholstered tables in the staterooms is enough to draw a conclusion about the unprecedented luxury of the interiors.
Onboard amenities
Due to its dimensions the Eclipse is a real space cruise liner. It is also similar to the latter in that it has a cinema, library and restaurant on board.
Space is indeed plentiful. There is a grand piano and (!) stage in the master suite alone, which is housed on the main deck and is more than 450 square meters in size. The roof over the master suite can be removed, allowing for a sky view.
There is a 16-meter pool that can be transformed into a dance floor, helipads, a beauty salon, a casino, a mini-submarine and all the other attributes of a billionaire's boat.
Features
Anticipating the excitement around Eclipse, including the unhealthy ones from the prying paparazzi, the mega boat was equipped with special lasers to dazzle the cameras. It seems that this feature was not the last to attract the famous rapper Timati, who once took the boat for a charter. Besides the boat is equipped with bulletproof windows and antimissile defense system for maximal security of those on board.
Taking into account the size of the Eclipse, it is not surprising that up to 40 fuel tankers will be needed to fill all the fuel tanks up to the bows, and the amount of the owner's fuel receipt will be €1 million.
