Alucraft Pilar Rossi Overview

Pilar Rossi is probably one of the most amazing sailing yachts in the world. To begin with, she began her life as a purely motor yacht, moreover... being half the size of her current fortune. In 2007, her owner (famous F1 racer Nelson Piquet) decided to turn her into a sailing schooner. He lengthened the hull from 38 to 65 meters, rigged her with sails and, to keep her stable under sail, Mario Piquet (the racer's uncle and designer under whose supervision she was rebuilt) rigged her with two outriggers on each side, making her a one-of-a-kind vessel. Apparently, Nelson is pleased with the result, as the yacht is regularly seen cruising from Brazil to the Mediterranean and back.
